After initially playing a pure advisory role I migrated into an operational role at Avocado where through my service company my team and I lead the finance and analytics teams on strategic initiatives in support of the CEO. My focus areas span ‘traditional’ aspects of a CFO role for a rapidly growing business through to more COO like areas such as HR, Corporate Strategy, DAO governance, Treasury (ie staking design), product innovation, and product pricing. At Avocado we see a big opportunity to bring TradFi skills to NFT investment management along with data science skills to optimise player NFT sets and player performance.Avocado is a leading players guild in the rapidly growing play-to-earn gaming sector. Founded in early 2021, the guild has grown rapidly to more than 11k scholars, and through successful seed, series A, and its more recent ICO, has gathered the support of leading investors in the metaverse such as Animoca Brands.
